From Me:

I created this walk through to show everyone how to get through the missions with tombs. I didn't make this for people to ask me how to fix their technical difficulties. My game has NO glitches which means all the missions have worked fine for me, and everything was where and how it was supposed to be. PLEASE stop asking me how to fix these issues with your game.

Mummitonium

So I think the most asked question in Egypt is "Where the hell is that second friggen piece of Mummitonium!?" I have found a few answers.
  1. If you are really lucky the map tag will show you where another has spawned before your vacation ends.
  2. If you are just ordinarily lucky, the relic merchant will have some for you to buy.
  3. If you don't mind the smell, you can dig through all the garbage cans in town and you might find one. Or 38 piles of trash, 18 newspapers, and 5 teddy bears, like Arthur did.
  4. You can leave from your vacation, wait the required 2 days, travel to Egypt again, and the game may have pitied you and spawned another.
  5. Buy the "Collection Helper" with your lifetime happiness reward points, and it may help you find them. [thanks for the tip cheeseylepricorn]
  6. The only way I have ever gotten another piece: Cancel the adventure from the opportunities panel. Then go on a few of the "Collect some of this stuff, and then bring it back to me" missions. I found another piece of mummitonium when I was collecting gold at the abandoned mine. Then go back to the Adventure Bulletin Board and refuse the missions until you get the Mummitonium mission again.
I really hope this works for everyone. It took Arthur 3 vacations to find the second piece! I think the main thing is just be patient.

  1. I used the collection helper. Found both pieces that way, but they were the only two.

  5. when i had to find it, there were SO many. but now i have to find turquise gems or something and i cant find any! theyre for the relic merchant so i cant buy them off him either.

  6. hmm. thats odd. Turquoise is everywhere in my game. are you sure when you are in map view that you have "all" checked in the filter at the bottom? if you have something else checked it wont show you the location of anything you are looking for.

  7. I was shocked to find my relic merchant had four for sale in her shop. Not a single piece showed up on my map!

  8. In my experience, Mummitomium has a total of two spawning places in Egypt. One by the mine you mentioned (sometimes even * literally inside* the mine itself, so you have to really fix the camera angle to see it), and one near the little camp by the river; picture with approximate spawn marked in red:

Everytime my sims travel back to Egypt, I immediately look at those places for Mummitomium.:) Hope this helps some.

  10. If you don't mind cheating...
In buy debug mode, you can buy spawners - use testingCheatsEnabled shift-click on any lot (also community lot), place a few spawners and wait for roughly a day.

  11. The Relic Merchant in Egypt seems to have it if you check back daily (In Sims times) and are on the tasks leading up to needing it. One time I didn't need to search for Mummitomium since I had frequently checked the shop.

  13. You just need to use that Science machine to clone the first piece of Mummitonium.

  14. I think it's best to take this mission if you've already found a couple of pieces randomly in tombs or while digging, just makes things easier, when you're not looking for something you find it for no reason :P

  15. If you find one piece of raw mummitonium, send it off to be smelted - you get more than one piece back.

  16. I entered Egypt and the first was marked on the map and was sitting on a beach. I went to the shops afterwards and the shop with the green plant out front actually had 2 Mummitomium for sale for $965 each!
