From Me:

I created this walk through to show everyone how to get through the missions with tombs. I didn't make this for people to ask me how to fix their technical difficulties. My game has NO glitches which means all the missions have worked fine for me, and everything was where and how it was supposed to be. PLEASE stop asking me how to fix these issues with your game.

Nectar Cellar/Tomb of Isael/Tomb of Jean Necteaux

Mission: Help the local find an old bottle of nectar, then help him explore the new rooms you opened up.

Take the stairs to the lower level.

Explore a bit...

Hidden door here.

Another here.

Grab the treasure.

Head to this room.

Hidden door...

Hidden door...

Collect the treasure.

Put the keystone the local gave you here.

Ooo! Shiny box! Go open it!

Secret doors open...

Shiny hole! Go examine it! It is a riddle about three treasures. Take it back to the local to complete this mission. You will now have to take your sim to Egypt where the riddle can be deciphered. Before you go collect 5 Cerambryx beetles in France to take to the local in Egypt as an offering for his help. Once you are done in Egypt, travel back to France with the ruby you got, and speak to the local.

***

Mission: Take the ruby and put it into one of the three holes to unlock the Tomb of Isael so you can explore it.

Examine the hole and your sim will automatically put the ruby in it.

Get the keystone of the pedestal.

Hidden door here. The door that leads into the purpleish hallway is just a quicker way out of this tomb.

Put the keystone in the slot.

Down the stairs...

Lets go to the one on the right first.

Explore the dive pool.

Clear the rubble.

Push the statues out of the way.

Grab the treasure.

Push the statue onto the switch.

It unlocks a door downstairs.

Just a bathroom here if you need it.

Door on the left now... Examine the hole in the floor.

Gather the treasure.

Pull the statue out.

Push it over to the switch...

Examine the hole that appears.

Pull that same statue back out and move it to the other floor switch.

Stand on the floor switch that appears to open the hidden doors.

Put the heart keystones in the slots.

Clear the rubble.

Pull the statues out and onto the floor switches.

The switches unlock two hidden doors.

Collect the treasure.

Put anything on the pedestal to open the door. Arthur put a fish on it. :p

Collect the treasures.

You can't do much in the other room that was unlocked unless you already have 2 heart keystones in your inventory. But for those of you who do not, continue through the door the 2 statues were blocking.

Collect the treasures in the room.

Examine the hole.

Examine the wall. Go through the hidden door.

Hidden door in this room too.

Clear the rubble.

Collect the relic.

Collect the treasure.

Continue to this room... This room is such a pain... Here is how I moved the statues around so I could get to the keystone and the treasure.

Pull the statue off the floor switch to unlock the door.

Clear the rubble.

Collect the treasure.

Hidden door...

Collect the keystone.

Now go back to the room you unlocked earlier. Put the two keystones in the slots.

Push the statues onto the switches.

Go through the door.

Pull the statue onto the switch to deactivate the electric traps.

Pick up the treasures in the room.

Go up the stairs. You will have to disarm or attempt to cross one of the traps.

Collect the sapphire and the treasures from the chests. Return to the local to complete the mission.

***

Mission: After putting the sapphire into the hole, asking locals about the emerald, retrieving the emerald, and then putting the emerald into the hole, explore the tomb of Jean Nectaux to find the recipe. You may want to buy some mummy snacks, or improve your body and marital arts skill because there are quite a few mummies in this part of the mission.

Examine the holes and put the gems in them to make the keystone appear.

Put the keystone in the slot.

Pull the statue away from the wall.

Examine the hole.

Examine these holes for treasure.

Go down the stairs to this room.

There is a hidden door here.

Collect the treasure. Another hidden door here.

and another...

Collect the treasure.

Go up the stairs.

Put the statue over the floor switch to disarm the electric traps.

Your sim can walk around these traps. Go up the stairs.

Explore the dive pool.

Up the stairs...

and up...

Pull the statue off of the switch.

Grab the treasure. Examine the hole in the wall. It opens a hidden door.

Collect the treasures.

Clear the rubble.

Hidden door here.

Grab the keystone.

Push the statue back onto the floor switch.

Put the keystone in the slot to unlock the door.

Collect the treasures.

This is the ONLY switch you have to stand on. The one all the statues are pointing to...

It unlocks the door. But don't go through it yet. There is a room to the right with a hidden door we opened earlier.

Clear the rubble.

Collect the treasure.

Clear the rubble, collect the treasure, and look inside the sarcophagus.

Stand on the floor switch. Follow the blue lights to avoid traps.

....
Several minutes later...

Stand on the floor switch to disarm all the traps in the room.

Clear the rubble and collect the treasures in the room.

Go through this door.

Examine the wall.

Collect the treasures.

Go up the stairs in the room that had the blue lights. Pull the statue onto the floor switch to disarm the fire traps.

Go down the stairs the fire traps were guarding.

Clear the rubble.

Pull the statue away from the wall. Inspect the hole.

Go through the hidden door that opened.

Look inside the sarcophagi and collect the treasure. Watch out for mummies.

Get the recipe from the sarcophagus. It will disarm the traps.

After collecting the treasure in the room, go up the stairs.

Stand on the floor switch to open the door. Collect the relic from the chest. Report in to your boss.

  2. I think I stuffed it up... I'm up to the point where you need to get the recipe from the sarcophagus. But I think I may have looked in there previously or something, I don't know, because all I have right now is the adventure tracker telling me to get the recipe, and the shiny blue green light light over the sarcophagus.

I've quit the quest and then got it back again, I've left France and come back again, but the only options on the sarcophagus is 'view'.

    ... Help? Please?

  3. that's a bug in the game. alot of people on the forums have said they had that problem also. I don't know how to fix this.

  4. If you find out, could you post it here?

And sorry for asking the question, I just read the text at the top :)

By the way, these walkthroughs are awesome! Could you perhaps have a post detailing all the quests you can do in each of the locations, and whether they are a once only quest, or can be done over and over again (eg delivering nectar or taking photo's of tomb devices). :):)

  5. Thanks for all detailed info. Your blog is helping me a lot :)
Can you please tell me where can I get the nectar cellar key? I am still stuck at this point. TY!

  6. the actual keystone called the Nectar cellar keystone is for the landgraab mansion and you get that on a mission in china. The keystone to start the mission detailed in this walkthrough is given to you by the local who works at the nectary.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Im stuck on this one in china didnt know where to put it, and even googled it like a 100 times! so sorry if this isnt the place. Its called

Thats the keystone head to china. Now that katie has the keystone they should probably check with ping dong bfore trying anything dangerous. Head back to china as soon as possible.

who is ping dong? and where do i go theres nothing on the map.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Ping Dong is the one who gave you the mission to go to france to find the keystone. if he isnt showing up as a map tag, he may have died. Try hovering over each of the houses until you find the Dong household, then go there to talk to him. If you cant find him that way, cancel the mission and then go back to the bulletin board and keep declining the missions until this one shows up again. The game should have spawned a new NPC for you to finish this mission with.

  9. Yeah I have done that, Unfortunatly didnt work but thanks for your help! I may just restart the game

  10. At the end, in the room with all of the mummies, near the sarcophagus that has the recipe in it (two spaces to the left of it, I believe) is a hidden room with three treasure chests and two of those stone treasure hold thingies. It's outlined by the wallpaper.

  11. Ah.. i see it now. At this point in my walkthrough making I had the Prima guide. I guess it lied to me about there being a hidden room there. thanks Anonymous poster :p

  12. how do i get the challenge to get the ancient nectar room key?

  13. Very nice job on the walk through I didn't find the hidden door with the tomb relic on my own, so thanks for that. I did find a couple of hidden doors that I didn't see in your pictures though. One was in the yellow room where you get the sapphire for the quest, if you check the wall to the left of the chests there is a hidden door and another one inside that little room that leads to a 'dark' room, a huge one at that. If you look around though there will be a door that pops up in this room and if you go through you will see a chest, some coins and gems. There is also a door that you can see in the corner of the room with the recipe sarcophagus, you will have to attempt to cross the flames, there is a hidden door to the right when you go through it, that leads to another dark room with a door inside leading to chests and such. Don't know if you left these out on purpose or if you missed them but thought you might like to know.

  15. I reported to EA the bug in this game. They said that the programers for the sims were working on the issue. EA also told me that they read through the posts and complaints on their website and try to address those issues in the game updates.

Unfortunately their customer service SUCKED, and I wouldn't suggest calling them unless its neceqssary, but now you all know, and hopefully a new update with be coming out soon to fix the game glitch!

  16. I've got the same problem, can only view the sacrophagus, so I tried to delete the nectarium (saved it to the library first) and then replace it. Changed the doors in the tomb so I didn't have to go through all the trouble again with the keys and stuff. Got back to the sacrophagus, was able to look inside it but no recipe :/ I only got money. Aagh

  17. Hey guys. I found it out, how to reset the tombs ( I posted the post above this).

I found this on the Mod the Sims forum:
First thing you do is copy and save the game with a different name, for this use "RESET" just to keep things straight. Then exit the game. Go to your Sims 3 save folder and find the one named "RESET". In there, you'll find .nhd and .package files with country names. Delete the ones you want to reset.

NOTE: This only resets the dungeons, not the adventures associated with them. Meaning you can re-explore the areas, but can not redo an adventure you've already completed.

    ---

So I did this, went back to france, to the nectarium. And when I came there, the quest was completed! So I went back to the person I got the quest from and voila! Works like a charm :)

  22. at the end of the tomb before you go you the stairs, inspect the wall to the right and then it reveals a room collect the loot and then inspect the wall to the left of the room you just entered and continue on it will give you more goodies :D

  23. This was the LONGEST adventure I had done so far in the game! I got stuck a couple times, but did a majority of it myself. You helped me when I was stuck in the room with the movable statues and after i got to the bedroom and didn't know what to do. ANYWAY, haha, thanks so much for going through the trouble of posting this!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Awesome walkthrough!! just had a quick question... I think I might have accidentally sold the ruby if that is so what do I have to do to get it back?? just go back to Egypt? I don't even have the adventure anymore...

    ReplyDelete
  25. excuse me but howexactly do you openthefalse wallnet to the nectar racks? I've tried and tried but fail.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have the same problem!!! I didn't sell the darn ruby but I put it on a shelf at my house and then quickly back into my inventory, but now I cannot continue the story line. I cannot insert it into the hole and I can't continue to get into the last two areas. I have completed every single other adventure in all three countries. Do I really have to start totally over with another family. Ugh! I've been back to France and Egypt 2 or 3 times and can't pick up where i left off. =( Pout!

Any help? Do you think resetting will work?

  27. Some one have discovered the secret dark room?, there is a secret room in the final room of the second part, in the left side there is a hidden door, there is noting that makes that door visible, just examine the wall.
Then another empty room, that has another hidden door, when the door opens two fire traps activates, just explore a bit, and find another room whit a lot of goodies!!

  28. I'm officailly effing pissed at EA. I've been playing sims games since they first came out. I have every expansion pack for all three games. I love it. With this game though, I'm angry. I too have had the problem with the nectar recipe not being in the sarcophagus. I did tons of research on various forums and tried numerous "fixes" and "cheats". Nthing worked. I got so pissed that I stopped playing sims all together for the last 6 months. Then today, thinking that enough time had passed and that EA had to have fixed the glitch by now, I tried again. EA has done nothing to fix the issue. There are still forums full of complaints about it. So, I called EA. I was told that it's an internal problem with the game. There's nothing I can do about it and that EA is working on the issue. That's funny.... They said the same thing 6 months ago. I'm incredibly disappointed in EA and angry. After 10+ years of buying and playing the sims.... I'm done.
If there's a fix somewhere that actually works and I missed, please let me know.

  29. About this: It unlocks the door. But don't go through it yet. There is a room to the right with a hidden door we opened earlier.

How did you open the hidden door earlier?

It is still closed for me and I cvan figure out where the swich is.

When I examine it, it says there must be a hidden swich somewhere in this tomb.
I can't seem to find it anywhere.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

    1. Found it, push or pull the statue that is pressing the switch directly above the door, in the floor above, so it's not pressing the tile

  30. How can i take this:
"Mission: Take the ruby and put it into one of the three holes to unlock the Tomb of Isael so you can explore it."

    ReplyDelete
  31. This walkthrough has been a temendous help, thank you for all your hard work... and great pics. They say a picture says a thousand words, and that has been so true :)

Thanks again, you have enabled me to complete all the tombs in the game :)

  32. Thanks for this walkthrough. Your work is much appreciated.

  33. There is a treasure chest in a room that was not in the walkthrough. In the first bathroom with purple tile floor, use the toilet and wash your hands. This unlocks a door in the bathroom wall to a tiny room with treasure.

Also in the second bathroom with purple tile floor, do the same and it opens the door automaticaly so you don't have to examine it.

Always use the bathrooms in tombs in this game. Many of them unlock things when you flush or use the sink.

THANKS SO MUCH. I would never have solved all the tomb puzzles without your help. You are so generous to have done this. YAY!

  34. Hey, I managed to do the entire thing backwards, and i examined the sarcophagi in the first hour, and the documets weren't there. And I cannot examine it anymore, only hide in it. Is there any cheat code to reset the room or to get the documents? Thanks

  35. Thanks to yours images, i've found the last relic in France. So many thanks.

  36. The section where you said "just a bathroom if you need it" ...if you use the toilet a secret door will open in the bathroom and there's a chest in there.
